Personalized Coaching for Individuals

Our physical and emotional health and well-being are the foundation for a vibrant and fulfilling life. But in our fast-paced, information-heavy world, it’s often hard to make sense of what we “should” do to feel better, shut out the noise of others’ expectations, and tune in to what we want and need most. Even when we have a goal in mind – like making a lifestyle change, navigating a life transition, managing everyday stress, wanting more balance, or finding more joy and purpose in life – getting started and continuing to take steps towards that desired change can feel overwhelming or out of reach. 


But you don’t have to do it alone. A health coach helps you bridge the gap between intention and action by working with you to: clarify your motivation and goals; identify and leverage strengths; address internal and external obstacles that keep you stuck or get in the way of your forward progress; and plan realistic, small steps towards building new attitudes and habits that actually stick.


Coaching is a dynamic collaborative process that supports your autonomy as you make meaningful changes entirely on your terms. Unlike the medical model, which sees clients as a set of problems in need of fixing, your coach sees you as whole, wise, and resourceful. You are the expert on your life, and you hold the answers to your most important questions, like what matters most to you.
Your coach helps you access your inner wisdom by creating a judgment-free space of mutual trust and respect, asking powerful questions, and listening to your responses with caring and curious presence. Instead of telling you what to do, she will guide you in figuring out strategies that fit your life, drawing on evidence-based information, resources, and tools from behavior science, positive psychology, and mind-body healing as appropriate.

What to Expect in the Coaching Process

Every coaching journey is unique, but here’s a general overview of key steps in the process: 


  • Discovery & Connection: Coaching begins with a free consultation to get to know each other. This is a chance to explore your goals, ask questions, and see if coaching – and the coach – feel like a good fit. 
  • Clarifying What Matters: Initial sessions focus on helping you clarify what’s most important to you—your values, vision, and the changes you want to make – and use holistic self-assessment tools to help you pick one or more focus areas for our work together. 
  • Setting Meaningful, Doable Goals:  We will co-create a right-size goal and a detailed action plan with small, realistic steps that fit the demands of your daily life. Together, we'll consider strengths and past successes that can support your confidence and motivation as you work to make desired changes.
  • Exploring What Gets in the Way: Change is rarely linear and often frustratingly slow. We'll  anticipate obstacles to success and develop strategies to build awareness, shift limiting beliefs, and create lasting change from the inside out.
  • Sustaining Momentum: The coaching relationship provides structure and encouragement to help you stay on track as you implement your action plan. Together, we will review your progress, reframe difficulties as learning opportunities, make needed adjustments, build on success, and celebrate your wins.

If you decide you want to proceed with coaching, we will co-create a structure that best suits your needs and interests. Individual sessions are $60 for an hour, $30 for a half hour. Coaching for Groups

Group coaching sessions combine the personal growth opportunities of coaching with the welcoming energy of other people who share your desire for more intentional living. Depending on the topic and participants’ interests, groups may incorporate education, expressive writing, guided visualization, mindfulness and meditation exercises, and supportive discussion.As part of a group, you will experience: 

  • Science-based education relevant to your topic of interest
  • Collaborative learning through sharing of each other’s perspectives, questions, challenges, and recommended strategies and resources
  • Built-in support and gentle accountability via encouragement and progress check-ins to help you stay committed to your personal goals 
  • Increased motivation that comes from group momentum and seeing others’ growth 
  • Validation and belonging as you connect with others who “get” what you’re going through in a judgment-free space.
  • Opportunities to practice new tools like expressive writing, body sensing, breath work, and other mind-body healing techniques

  • Cost-effective support for learning and change. Group sessions are more economical than individual coaching sessions.
